The small autonomous community of Coslada is located close to the outskirts of Madrid, in close proximity to the city's busy Barajas airport. Such a well-connected location has ensured Coslada has remained an important business and commercial zone of the city; it boasts the Dry Port of the Community of Madrid, making it an important hub for many large companies that import and export goods in and out of the city.
As a result, Coslada's makeup is dominated by excellent road and rail connections, and defined by efficiency and accessibility throughout the day. Many of the hotels found in the area are modern, cosmopolitan types, yet there are a few more traditional establishments located in the residential sections of the community.
Attractions include the nearby Plaza de Toros - Madrid's main bullfighting ring, which proves a huge draw for locals and tourists alike whenever the Matadors are in town. Love it or hate it, Bullfighting certainly draws the crowds and polarises opinion.
